Reading the QC photos of bags
When an item reaches your agent's warehouse in China, the agent photographs it. A return or an exchange is still simple at that point; once the package is on its way to the US, it rarely is. What QC means
Pattern placement
On printed or monogram canvas, check that the pattern is centered on each panel and lines up where the panels meet.
Metal hardware
Zippers, rings and clasps should have even plating and sharp engraving, and they should move smoothly.
Handles and straps
Stitching on the handles and straps should be evenly spaced, and the edge paint clean, without drips.
Standing shape
A bag photographed flat hides its structure. Ask for a photo of it standing up to see whether it holds its shape.
Shipping bags to the US
A structured bag keeps its volume in transit, and on a line to the US you are billed for that volume whether the bag is full or empty. Ask the agent to pack t-shirts or a hoodie from the same haul inside it: the room is already on your bill. US customs for packages from China

Bags: common questions
Does the bag come with a dust bag?
Only when the listing says so. Look for it in the QC photos, and remember that every extra layer of packaging adds to the size of the box going to the US.
Will a bag get crushed in shipping?
A rigid bag packed flat can come out creased. Have your agent stuff it to keep its shape and wrap it with extra padding; many agents do this on request.
Does the value of a bag matter for US customs?
It can. China packages no longer enter the US duty-free under the $800 de minimis rule, which ended for China in 2025, and duty generally depends on what the goods are and what they are worth. Read our US customs guide before putting several pricier bags in one package.
