China spreadsheet USA: hoodies

The hoodie list holds 125 pullovers and zip hoodies from Chinese marketplace sellers, with seller prices in USD, buy links for Kakobuy, Litbuy, Oopbuy, and USFans, and QC photos where buyers have shared them. A hoodie tends to go wrong in one of two ways: the print or the fabric disappoints, or the fit is off because Chinese sizing runs smaller than US sizing. The photos settle the first question; the measurements settle the second.

Reading the QC photos of hoodies

When an item reaches your agent's warehouse in China, the agent photographs it. A return or an exchange is still simple at that point; once the package is on its way to the US, it rarely is. What QC means

  • Graphics up close

Zoom in on prints and embroidery. Cracking, fading or a graphic sitting off center all show up in a flat-lay photo.

  • Fleece weight

Heavier fleece keeps its shape on the table: the hood holds up a little and the hem stays square. A thin hoodie lies flat and creases.

  • Ribbing and drawstrings

Cuffs and waistband should have even ribbing, and the drawstrings should be the same length with matching tips.

  • Measure in inches

Ask for pit-to-pit and body length, convert from centimeters (divide by 2.54) and hold the numbers against a hoodie that fits you.

Shipping hoodies to the US

Next to jackets or sneakers, a hoodie folds small and weighs little, so it combines easily with other items in one package to the US. Ask your agent to take off the seller's plastic packaging; it is often free and trims the volume. US customs for packages from China

FAQ

Hoodies: common questions

Should I size up on hoodies from a China spreadsheet?

Often, but check first. Many sellers cut to Asian sizing, which runs smaller than US sizes, while others make a deliberately boxy, oversized fit. The seller's measurements are a better guide than any tag.

What if the QC photos show a problem?

While the hoodie is still at the agent's warehouse, you can usually return or exchange it with the seller, sometimes paying only the shipping inside China. Once it is on its way to the US, a return is rarely worth it.

What does GSM mean on a hoodie listing?

Grams per square meter, a measure of fabric weight. A higher GSM means thicker, heavier fleece — which also adds a little to the shipping weight.
